MIBRomeo (1898), Wisconsin, USA Dec 16, 2007 light brown pour nice white head touch of lace. Apple skin and more overripe sweet rank smells.. thin pal. Terrible tste again, oxidized, rusty pipewater w/ rotten apple skin. The apple is nasty.
LtJudge (416), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2009 Pours a dark amber color with a beige head. Aromas of sweet caramel malt dominate the aroma with wiffs of citrus hops peeking through.Flavor of malt and citrus hop that end in a nice bitter finish.Body seems to be a little watery and thin.Noticeable diacetly flavor hidden in there as well. Not bad,but not fantastic. Thanks for the bottle Brewblackhole! Bockyhorsey (2354), Mesa, Arizona, USA May 14, 2009 Bottle courtesy of wife. Aroma was pale not much there some citrus. Copper body with white head. Decent citrus and some pine notes in flavor maybe little to much malt in this one. Not as crisp as most little heavy. HonkeyBra (1020), Lemont, Illinois, USA May 9, 2009 Orange pour with white head. Smells like styrofoam and maybe a slight impression of hop. Stale malt flavor with a weird aluminum note. Kind of like eating a metal can coated in shit. This is like a really horrible homebrew. I have five more of these in the fridge. FML. iowaherkeye (1651), relocated to Santa Rosa f/Iowa, California, USA Apr 2, 2009 12oz bottle, no date from GeneralGao--thanks Colin! Clear orange with a one finger staying creamy off-white head. Oh man, the amount of diacetyl is awesome in this! There’s that, and some buttery caramel, and a hint of sweaty Cascades. Flavor doesn’t have quite as much diacetyl, but there’s still plenty to be had. Semi-dry with bitterness around a 3. Medium body with low carbonation. Not a terrible beer, but I wouldn’t pay for it. noncaloric (459), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 22, 2009 Medium amber with a significant beige head, medium lace. Aroma of grapefruity hops, caramel malts. Flavor is pleasantly hoppy, but malt bill is slightly stale and somewhat overpowered by carbonic flavors. Medium to thin body, pleasantly carbonated. brewmaster55 (48), , Wisconsin, USA Feb 6, 2009 O’so, o’so, o’so not a good pale ale. Picked this up in bottle form at Cellar 70 in Stevens Point. Looked promising at the start but went down hill as soon as I opened it up. Perhaps I just had some from a bad batch, but I will not be going out of my way to drink this one again. CaryTheDude (1075), Longmont, Colorado, USA Nov 19, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Hop…sucker. Pretty bad. Sour finish is the worst of this brew’s qualities. Best part of this beer is my glass is empty and it’s going to be filled with something much better…like Budweiser or something. BeerBelcher (869), Columbus, Ohio, USA Oct 26, 2008 I had high hopes for this beer when it poured out of the bottle into the glass. It was gold-amber with a nearly brilliant body and great head formation with bubbles that seemed to swirl in the glass in the 2 inches below the head in a way that was reminiscent to me of beer from a beer engine. Sadly, that is where the good times ended. Aroma is pretty lackluster, with some maltiness and faint hop notes. Flavor is more malty than hoppy, but really dominated by diacetyl and a weird metallic taste.
I’d counsel you to avoid this one. Life is too short and alternatives too plentiful to drink APA/IPA/DIPAs that are at best mediocre.
