JPDIPSO (4865), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 19, 2008 Amber color with a tall, dense, beige head. Fairly light in scent, but mild caramel, grapefruit and slightly floral aromas. Woody malt and light citric notes. Fair balanced. Goldenrod notes in the finish and linger. Seems to have an english malt flair with an american buttress. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Dec 17, 2007 Cheesehead YeAH 2007, thanks Bob: I must say I am very disappointed in these beers and the colorful website is all hype. I only hope the brewer is still in a learning curve and these improve or this brewery will not be around very long at all.
Amber hue with a fizzy head. The aroma is pure sour apple with a hint of biscuity malt. The flavor is strangely refreshing due to the acidity and chalky biscuity pale malts. Blah, a piss poor effort for an "APA" Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Dec 18, 2007 Picked up a six-pack from the new brewery in Plover, Wisconsin. From a 12-oz bottle, pours a semi-clear light amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin white ring. Aroma of strong apple skin, a touch of caramel malt and some green vegetable character. Taste is light bodied, well-carbonated with flavors of apple skin, some light caramel malt and a touch of citrus zest hops. Finish is light, a little watery with an apple skin aftertaste. Ughsmash (3983), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Dec 17, 2007 Thanks to Bob for bringing this! Poured hazy medium golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up lots of apples, and was not unlike the Rusty Red.. it was very hard to get past that, which only yields some bready pils malts. The flavor was an ugly mess of apples, a little caramel, and fainter light fruits with nasty apple and vegetal notes on the finish.. sharp and off. Lighter-bodied with lots of ugly sweetness. Not good. badgerben (3587), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Feb 29, 2008 Another one from Skyview! Copper color and a very thin head. Slightly bitter aroma. A pinch of apple. Slightly grainy taste. A little bitterness. Not much hop-specific bitterness, but an okay APA. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Apr 24, 2008 Bottle via Skyview. The beer pours to a hazy amber body with a thin white head. The aroma is strongly crystal malts and a moderate Munich. Grainy cereal. The flavor is very cereal like and seems to taste like wort instead of a finished beer. Not many hops. Very average beer. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA May 14, 2009 Bottle courtesy of wife. Aroma was pale not much there some citrus. Copper body with white head. Decent citrus and some pine notes in flavor maybe little to much malt in this one. Not as crisp as most little heavy. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Dec 17, 2007 Thanks to skyview for sharing. Malt and citrus hops and faint apple flavor. Astringent taste with plenty apple.
