COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The second you open this bottle there is no mistaking that this is not your average IPA. Massive hop additions of the most obnoxious breeds put this taste bud burner in a league all it’s own. Our bet is that you will think it is O’so Freakishly good! Caution! This brew is 9% and may contain a hop cone in every bottle (2009 to present vintages) ! We want to make sure to repeat this reminder that we put a hop cone in the bottle. Always pour into a glass to release the essence from the bottle.

2008 Edition: 22-oz bottle
2009 Edition: 12-oz bottles w/hop cone in bottle
2010 - 2013 Editions: 12-oz bottles w/Hop Warning label

Pours a hazy orange-yellow-gold. Nice 1 finger head. Aroma of big pine hops and grapfruit citrus. Taste is huge hops, a lighter malt backbone. One of those big IPAs that gets it right by allowing their to be balance while still letting the hops take center stage. A great crisp and bitter finish. Absolutely furious with myself for not stocking up on these!!!!

Tasting at Papsø
Hazy amber color; small creamy head. Nice aroma, hoppy, resiny, piney, a bit fruity. Good body strength, with quite sweet caramel flavor, complemented by soft oaky vanilla; strong bitterness, with resins and bitter orange scent in the end. Very good.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of SecretSanta himself. Pours amber with a slight haze and a small and discreetly lazing off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma and some licorice allsorts - hops too, but not excessive. Solid body, lots of fruit and caramel with perfumy hops that leave quite some bitterness. But a rather balanced IIPA that isn’t overly aggressive. And yeah, the hop cone was there! 100410

Exatr from Skyview. Thanks, Bob! Pours a dark, clear copper. Very inviting. Clear until I do a swirl and dump the sediment in. Cloudy but nice except... SURPRISE! There’s a whole hop in there! Kinda gross. Kinda cool. Dark, sugary malts are strong in the nose and slightly outmatch the piney hop nose. Heavy, sweet in the mouth. Finishes sweet with a quick but noticeable, alcohol bitterness. Pretty damned tasty. Weighty too. The only thing I like more than hop bombs are BOOZY hop bombs! Nice.

22 oz. bottle shared by shigadeyo. Thanks! Pours a hazy amber color with a very small white soapy head that is gone immediately. The aroma is now more of a barleywine than a DIPA. Sweet caramel malts, ripe fruits, citrus. This has a touch of oxidation. The flavor is big sweet malts up front. Caramel, ripe fruits, citrus, slight apple cider notes with some earthy qualities toward the finish. Mild bitterness in the finish leaves me wondering what this was like fresh. Medium bodied; decent.
