The second you open this bottle there is no mistaking that this is not your average IPA. Massive hop additions of the most obnoxious breeds put this taste bud burner in a league all itís own. Our bet is that you will think it is Oíso Freakishly good! Caution! This brew is 9% and may contain a hop cone in every bottle (2009 to present vintages) ! We want to make sure to repeat this reminder that we put a hop cone in the bottle. Always pour into a glass to release the essence from the bottle.

2008 Edition: 22-oz bottle
2009 Edition: 12-oz bottles w/hop cone in bottle
2010 - 2013 Editions: 12-oz bottles w/Hop Warning label

Such a sweet enticing caramelly scent, it threw me off since itís a dipa. Very intriguing and addictive flavor profile. I canít quite pin it down, but it makes me happy as my nose and then lips near the glass. Weird? Maybe, but thatís how it goes. Recommended for a less(or more?)-than-usual experience.

Bottle, with hop cone :-) Pour is orange amber with silky write head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is big pine, citrus, grapefruit, resin, sweetness, light grain. Taste is potent pine, resin, grapefruit, lemon, light sweet and sour, toasted grain, and builds into more pine. Medium body and medium light carbonation. Bitterness fills out, very tasty.

12 oz. bottle intenionally containing a large hop cone, consumed on 8-1-13. Sweet aroma features caramel, toffee, lemon, lemon rind, orange, orange rind, cinnamon, salt, and coriander scents. Also a hint of urine in the smell. Strong aroma but sweeter than I would prefer. Pours a clear copper with a large amount of long-lasting, thick, creamy taupe head. Produces good lacing. Sweet, mineral-y taste features lemon and salt elements. Dry and hoppy in the finish. Also cookie in the finish and aftertaste. Hops seem to have disippated since I purchased this beer in February 2013. Soft in the palate. Light liveliness. Light to medium body. Forgettable overall if not for the hop cone.

From BandC. Bitter medicinal hops. Medicinal aroma. Maybe something when wrong, maybe Iím not a fan of this particular hop. Didnít work for me. This beer also has a hop in the bottle gimmick. Serving: bottle

Aroma is citrus, pine and medium sweetness. The flavor is grapefruit, citrus, sweetish malts, hop resin and a mix of bitterness and slightly tangy in the finish. Shouldnít have let it set in the fridge, need to learn my lesson with IPAs/DIPAs.

Had a draft of this one at Mars Cheese Castle. Orange and clear with white head. Orange fruity citrus aroma. Bubblegum smell. Sweet and fruity taste with huge hops and very bitter finish. Crazy unique but very good

Big IBU yet still not a palate eraser. Fear and trepidation as I pour the bottle, examining for the pine cone. Liquid hop pellet level of IBU, very craftily malted down and therefore drinkable. Cloudy appearance. Fresh bottle from 20 West Wine and Spirits.

Pour was rust colored, no real head to speak of. Very thin lace. I expected the aroma to be overwhelmingly hoppy, but there really wasnít anything. A little musty. Taste was ok. Tasted more malt than i expected to. Decent overall beer, but wouldnít go out of my way to find it, though
