The second you open this bottle there is no mistaking that this is not your average IPA. Massive hop additions of the most obnoxious breeds put this taste bud burner in a league all it’s own. Our bet is that you will think it is O’so Freakishly good! Caution! This brew is 9% and may contain a hop cone in every bottle (2009 to present vintages) ! We want to make sure to repeat this reminder that we put a hop cone in the bottle. Always pour into a glass to release the essence from the bottle.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a hazy light orange wiht a good amount of beige head that reduces to a thin later. Nice lacing. Smells of very aromatic hops: orange peel, grapefruit, berry, pine, and floral notes. Tastes of orange peel, grapefruit, light resin, and caramel malt. Good balance, and a very good beer.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman’s in Beloit, WI, served a few minutes out of the fridge in a Maudite glass. Moderate white soupy head decays to a lasting ring above the cloudy, near-opaque amber-copper body - no hop cone in this one...big expressive nose is dominated by sweeter, fruitier aromatics - mango, peach - and a bit of caramel-vanilla sugary spiciness, though there are touches of more pungent resinous tones as well...body is pretty sweet to begin with, lightly peppery/alcoholic throughout, lightly yeasty, growing more bitter towards the finish though the hops never really overtake the sweet malts until the very end which is just a bit drier and nicely sharp...body is full, somewhat syrupy, carbonation slightly low. This is solid enough though somewhat of a disappointment for me after the masterpiece that is their "regular" IPA, Hop Whoopin’. I think it definitely needs to be drunk a little warmer than what I started it out at - I tend to like IPAs fairly cold but in this and some other cases it doesn’t bring out the flavor as much as something closer to 55-60 degrees (F) does.

Thick, cloudy golden and almost gooey goodness. It’s a little thick on the nose. Almost dirty look to it. 2 bug hop buds swimming around the bottle caused a fairly bitty drink but the creamy and caramely orange taste offset that happily. It’s a now and again bottle tho. I couldn’t drink many.

Murky mahogany, thin off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is sweet and fruity, tropical, bit pine, caramel malt, vanilla, mango, tangerine, fresh and inviting. Medium body, soft, velvety, low carbonation, mild bitterness, dries bit to finish, malt more evident here, caramel, toasted notes. Good balanced, tasty. Taste has darker tones than aroma which is more lively..first fruity then much more malty tones join. Long finish is malty and medium bitter with woody nites in finish.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2016 Pullosta One Pint Pubissa. Samea kullanruskea. Tuoksussa kermaista hedelmäisyyttä, hedelmäisen kepeää humalaa. Maitopohjaista hedelmäjälkiruokaa, makeaa mallasta. Maussa hedelmäistä humalaa. Kermaisuutta. Mallasta. Jotain mielenkiintoista jota en osaa eritellä. Tykkään.

Oluthuone Kaisla, Helsinki. Bottle. Very hazy deep amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. A few hop flower pieces floating about. Palate is smooth and semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Sweetish malt base, thin cream and caramel. Hops are strongly pine with modest hop spice and skunk. Jammy citrus and tropical fruits. Smooth and slightly bitter dry finish. Hop spice lingers on. Good stuff.

33cl bottle @ Tommyknocker bar. Copper color, thick white head. Dried fruits, hops, tired hops. Flavor quite similar, sweetness, caramel, some pine, almonds. Feels old and tired.

Bottle at London Drinker BF 2016. Clear ish amber lasting beige head. Slightly not quite fresh aroma but the flavour is fresh fruit. Like peach and apricot on speed. Very hoppy. Settles down into a massively fruity ipa. Aroma still isn’t great but the rest is banging. Wow. Has hop leaves in. Wow. Picking hop flowers out of your mouth was entertaining.

12oz bottle pour at home with no bottling or enjoy by date. Hazy orange pour. Not overly carbonated, but had a nice malty backbone and bitterness.
