COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular (formerly Occasional).
A full bodied ruby red ale with subtle chocolate malt character. Inital maltiness leads to citrus, spice and bitterness at the end. A rare Slovenian variety of hop provides both bitter finish and the aroma.

Pint at Charlton Kings Club. Pours Red-Amber with a thick beige head. Malty, hoppy aroma, a little pine. Similar flavor, a little sweet up front, quite bitter, some fruity notes.

Handpull cask at the Salutation, Doncaster. Dark brownish red, very clear with a white head. Lots of lacing. Not much scent. Some malt, berry, forest floor... noticeably metallic. Taste is an acrid bitter which later softens to a pleasant fruity sweetness. But its too late. A lingering acrid note at the end. A real let down.

Cask. Pleasant fruity scent. Red chestnut body. White top thins to lace. Good malty flavours in the foreground but with citrus hops stretching the taste on the palate. I could get used to this.
