Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Peterboro BF 2008. A copper coloured beer with a sweet aroma with caramel notes. The taste is a bit sickly with berry fruitsbeing too sweet. Fairly unpalatable in places.

Cask, gravity at Peterborough BF ’08. With a name like that you expect a bit more than this insipid coppery brew with a sweet malt aroma, a rather thin and watery fruity taste and only slight bitterness. Dull beer.

Cask @ 3 Legged Mare, november 07. Shinny golden/ orange color with a creamy medium head. Spicy, slightly nutty flavor with a very slight vinous note. Medium mouthfeel with some mineral notes and a quite astringent finnish. Interesting peanuts/ earthy arome but somewhat restrained. Nice golden bitter.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest 07. brown amber beer with white head. Good quaffing bitter with a deeper body, rich roasted malt with a steady dry hop. Sweetish throughout. Must try again.

Cask at Banbury Beer Festival Fri 23rd March. One of my favourite beers that did exactly as it ’said on the tin’ i.e it was indeed a dark dry bitter although more amber than really dark. I got a taste of marzipan in my first mouthfull which to a lesser degree kept coming back with each subsequent slurp. This was a thoroughly decent beer that I could happily have had a session of, most enjoyable.
