Commercial Description:
Cask & Bottle Conditioned; Regular.
Our strongest permanently available brew, Excelsior has a mellow yet full flavour that develops into a fruity dryness. A fresh, hoppy aroma with citrus, toffee and floral characteristics.

Cask at Kingston BF, 28th June 2008, with renffisch. Bright yellow with a summery aroma of honey, lemons and floral hops. When you take a sip though, things go downhill. There’s some bitterness but it soon begins to taste like weak fairy liquid. Unbalanced, this is a bit of a dog’s breakfast of a beer.

Handpulled cask at JDW Harrow. Pale gold colour. Fresh as a daisy and just as floral. Brash, spicy hops. Intensely aromatic. Lychees and grapefruit in the flavour. Lots of bite on the finish. Just superb!.

Gravity, Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. Warm gold, soap ring of head. Faint blackberry aroma. Berry sweetness, a touch of pastry, a little toast finish. Simple, decent pint.

Bottle bought from the excellent Booths on a trip up north. Golden and very clear. Hoppy but not overpoweringly so.Some citrus traces with a sharp and fresh bitterness.Very pleasant and easy to drink.
