downender (1616), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Oct 8, 2008 Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 8/10/08. Pale gold with a slight white head. Citrus hop aroma with some hay. Flavour had some sweet malt, a hint of summer fruit and lemon, spicy hops. Drinkable. Mes_and_Sim (4477), Highgate, Greater London, England Jan 21, 2008 A Mes rate: Cask at The Crown. About as gold as a beer gets with a good white head. Lemon and grassy hop aroma with a nice earthy note. Straight down the line drinkable hoppy stuff in the mouth. Lovely dry finish. Once again a beer served at its best in the Crown. Fukito (595), Buenos Aires, Argentina Dec 27, 2007 Cask @ Ackhorne, november 07. Shinny pale golden color with a small, creamy white head. Citric, lemony flavor with some hay malts at the end. OK. Medium mouthfeel hoppy/ citric prescence with a salty finnish. Dry mineral aftertaste. Refreshing. Honey, flowery aroma. Perfumey. Ok, quite dry english bitter. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 23, 2007 Pale golde pour covered by a tight white cover. This feels like a middle-of-the-road blonde with the usual grainy and strawy malts and a sloppiness to go far beyonds. The dryness seems to come mostly from its minerality as its hops are quite devoid of aromas besides the mildest floral feel. No nonsense and no surprises. fonefan (4871), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 16, 2007 Cask (handpump) @ Mill Hotel, CH1, Chester. Clear ornage color with a small fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration, and a nice dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
