3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (7176) - London, - DEC 6, 2010Cask at the Euston Tap. Pours clear gold with a sturdy, white head. Light, grassy hops in the nose with faint fruit. Nice flavor, lightly malty with crisp, straw bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Super clean, mild hop finish with some easy malts. Solid, easy drinking beer.

Bottle: Nose is banana biscuits. Taste is very sweet, slight cereal, touch of mint, slight lemon. Mouthfeel is reasonably full with touch of lactose finish.
Too sweet and tastes of next to nothing.

Hand-pulled pint in Willy’s brew-pub, Cleethorpes: 30 Mar 2013.
Pale gold with a pure white head that produced some good lacing.
Refreshing feeling to the brew: hops in the aroma, floral mostly. The taste was also leaning towards hops with a bitterness that was noticable but not ’in your face’; the malt content calmed the hops down somewhat.
Easy to drink and pleasing to the eye.

Bottle. Light blonde ale with a thin scum of white on top. Nose is light banana and a little malt. Quite full in the mouth, giving more banana, cereals, and a nice sweetness overall. Really easy to drink.

Cask at The Waters Green Tavern, Macclesfield. Gold with a thin white head. Again, typical beer served in this pub. He does a good job but please give me something more than typical English golden ales. Lemons and citrus, hops, bit of malt, touch of sweetness and a dry finish. Not that interesting to me.
