Trocken herber Antrunk, erfrischend aber langweilig. Geringfügige, im Abgang stärker werdende Bitterkeit. Bereits zu einem frühen Zeitpunkt wässrig. 11/8/8/9//8

Tükrös, szalmasárga színben mutatja magát és a tetején lévő közepes fehér habja fátyolosan megmarad, szénsavassága enyhe.
Illata friss, gyógyfüves és savanykás.
Kellemesen csípős, frissítő aromája kekszes malátát, gyógyfüvet és kovászos élesztőt hordoz magában.
Édeskés befejezése gyógyfüves és száraz, testessége közepes.
Jó, kellemes!

Very pale colour with light tan. Very plain aroma, as it is a very plain beer overall, but still better than some beers in the mainstream Hungarian supply. :) Watery with light body and high carbonation. In my opinion it can be consumed as an everyday lower-category lager in very hot summer days. :)

Draught at Osterbrau (Domony), Budapest. Clear golden with a tiny white head. Grainy malt, some honey and lemony hops in aroma and taste. Harsh and rough finish. Not good.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (3612) - Split, CROATIA - APR 2, 2010
Draught at the Osterbräu bar, Tölgyfa u., Budapest. Poured a pale yellow-golden body with a medium-small white head. Dusty, slightly eggy nose. Dry eggy bitter, pungent taste, bitter aftertaste, Not my type of lager but actually has some character and is way better than the dark.

Great beer for either warm weather or a really warm bar ;-). Definitely a quaffable beer with a slightly fruity body and finish. Pretty well made and well balanced.
Hope these guys get their dunkle sorted out soon.

Draught at the Osterbräu bar, Budapest.
Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, n/a like light grainy nose. Few streams of carbonation. Slight malty, weak hoppy and mild buttery taste with notes of brewing cereals and short bitter finish.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 My Bottom Line:
This balanced Helles is the playground for crisp, honeyed malts and wooden hoppiness, all in a clean and lean vehicle.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sticky sheet of foam tops the dark gold.
-Some citrusy herbal notes are also supplied by the polite hops.
-Neither the hops nor the malts are compelling even though they are used efficiently.
-This is too proper and diplomatic to be more than decent to me.
On tap at the Osterbrau pub on Tölgyfa in Budapest.

On draught at the brewpub at Tölgyfa u.12, Budapest. Clear golden colour. Cleanish barley malt aroma with light sourness that probably derives from a short, simple mash schedule. Malty flavour with traces of hops and a great deal of butter. The sourness unfortunately overpowers most here. Low-medium bitterness. Light bodied. A disturbing diacetyl nose/flavour like in all the beers I sampled here on December 2nd.
