Nice styled bottle and a unique container for the four bottles. The aroma starts with roasted malt and a little bit of gras and earth which is followed by some sweetness. The appearance of this beer marvelous: A rocky head, coloured between some off-white and light brown, fully lasting. The hue of the body is a nice red, the clarity is clear. The flavor starts bitter and finished also lightly bitter with a hint of sweetness. The duration is very long. A medium body with a dry texture and a lively carbonation. A truly great beer, one of the bests I’ve ever drank so far. Maybe the best in germany...!?!

Sehr gutes Bier!

Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, nutty, light dark bread. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20091209]

Pours out of the bottle in a deep dark brown colour with low steady head and smooth body. Nice aroma of malt and barley. Taste of light roasted malt, torf, nuts, caramel, woods, dark berries and straw. Easy and nice to drink, a good and enjoyable beer.

Bottled, thanks to DerDoppelbock. Strong aroma of dark malts. Hazy, brown color, irregular beige head, fair lace. Light sweet, light bitter to bitter in the finish, roasted, dark caramel. Medium body and smooth. Very good example of the Dunkel style.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Dark amber with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with some cinnamon(?). Earthly flavour with some smokey roasted malts. Quite unique taste, at least for me, and I tend to like it. Very interesting.

Thanks Gabriel! Pours a bright clear brown with orange highlights with a lofty tan head. Smells of toasted malt, dark bread, some caramel. Taste is quite roasty, earthy, mildly sweet with some licorice on the slightly dry aftertaste. This beer is super smooth with beautiful fine carbonation...perfect!! Body is light plus. Well the taste is interesting and pretty full while the body is superb.
