On draft at Alewife. Really interesting - this really tastes like a cross between a big ipa & a tripel - lots of sweetness, bitterness, & hop aromatics. It has that unnamed resiny hop side. Citrus pith. Very good.

Draft at tasting room. Pours clear amber with small head. Aroma is sweet malts, orange, pineapple, strawberry, mango, pine, booze. Taste is sweet pineapple and candied grapefruit with a harsh aftertaste of lingering booze. I can see why people like this but I think this needs more balance to rein in the alcohol heat.

Very flavorful, intense, but perfectly toes the line between crisp and creamy. Surprised that it’s 10%

BLADT (497) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUN 13, 2014
UPDATED: JUN 19, 2014 Tap pour. Clean amber gold in glass. Decent head. Nose of subdued hop perfume, mild hemp. Taste is dank hops, lush green goodness. Slightly creamy. Slight kick at the end. Fine carbonation. High abv hid well.

Growler from the brewery. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Lots of dank citrus in the nose, orange, mango pine. Medium sweet flavor with rich citrus fruits, moderate bitterness, some alcohol presence, some ripe tropical fruits, anise. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately resinous to finish with decent alcohol warmth, some further tropical fruits, melon, grapefruit. Hefty but still impressively drinkable.

Good hoppy aroma, juicy flavor. A favorite for a triple IPA. I liked it so much I took home a Growler from Clinton Hall/NYC.

2014-04-20. Hazy dark orange body with a large white head and lace. 4+ Aroma of orange citrus, pithy sweet citrus seeds. Very lightly alcoholic 7++ Flavour is richly citrusy, pithy orange notes. Moderate bitterness throughout, alcohol is shockingly restrained considering. Lingering bitterness. Smooth medium to full bodied palate, modest carbonation. 3++ Great stuff, we ordered a second glass. On tap at Proletariat, NYC.
