From tap at Bier Xperience Steenwijk 2016. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, chocolate, some roast. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and above moderate roasty bitter. Nice strong caramel and chocolate malt aroma, a bit roasty and pleasantly bitter. Good Stout.

(Othmar Stout) 330 ml bottle from bierkoning, thanks! Into a snifter, ABV 7.2% Deep brown, almost black coloured beer, with a small and thin beige head. Average retention, some big bubbles left behind and light lacing around the glass. Aroma of oats, light liquorice, light roasted malts. Taste follows, liquorice and oats mainly, more roasted malts now, especially on the finish and the aftertaste. Seems lighter than a 7.2% beer. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste, with good duration. Medium thick body, nicely carbonated. Very dry palate. Very good.

Thanks bierkoning! Dark brown color, small beige head, some lace. Aroma has caramel and light roastyness. At first also some earthy notes. Medium-bodied. Cold coffee, light tart note, toasted maltyness. Simple with decent coffee notes.

Has the recipe changed or is the brewing better? I am quite enjoying this dey stout. No trace of farts or sourness, just a good beer. Bottle from Speciaal Bier winkel in Bodegraven.

33cl bottle Appearance: Deep darlk brown with a small compact beige head. Aroma: Thinroasted malts and light sweet coffee Taste: Thin surish flavor with some roastiness and some light chocolate, ok bitterness and roastyness in the aftertaste, which is just enough to safe it. (too )High carbonation, thin body. Not a good stout, way to thin and lacking taste.

Countbeer (5880) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - FEB 22, 2013
Bottle @ Kiss The Kitchen Floor or better known as ZZT VI (2013): kindly shared by Martinus: Smaller sized light beige to off white head, changes quick into a lacing on top of a brown poured beer. Aromas of butter, nuts, aramel, autumnal herbs, toffee and carbo gass. Flavours of toasted barley malts, bitter, caramel, floral, toasted hops & herbs and some honey. Aftertaste of herbs, light bitter, light toast, caramel and honey. Low carbo, soft spicy mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery texture. Ok beer I guess.
