3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Brilliant with a slim, well-retained white collar. Highly susprising aroma- a lambic-like streak of tart lemon, cork and cheesy hop with a hint of old dishcloth (Cascade?). Reminds me of Drie Fonteinen more than anything. Flavour also against the grain; resinous hop bite, satsuma, husky malt and a dab of TCP overpowering any suggestion of perfuminess. I expected Welsh Hoey and got a blend of JHB and Drie Fonteinen. Good, but..I dunno, sometimes I’m just in the mood for a Hoey.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Still, headless and frankly unappealing. Very tropical, fresh nose. Melons, mangoes, passionfruit and clementines. Whilst malt is dominant in the mouth hops to make an appearance immediately but dissipate leaving thick tangerine and light spice on the tongue. This is a pretty interesting beer. However a little light carbonation would go a long way in my opinion. It just lacks a certain bite.
