Cask by handpump at Hengler’s Circus, Glasgow - clear golden amber, thin off-white head, no lacing, sweet malty aroma, toffee, hint of something spicy, but minimal, malty and fruity aftertaste

Poured a medium amber with a moderate white head. Aroma of spicey malt with some floral hops in there. Medium to weak body, flavour of pine and other floral hops, some strange spice mixture. Not unpleasant, but 1 was enough.

Cask stillage at the Grape and Grain Spring Beer Festival 2012, Crystal Palace. Dark amber pour with a white head. Light floral tones in the aroma with some citrus and malt notes. Caramel and citrus flavour. Malts and fruit in the aftertaste.

Full measured half pint, 4.3% ABV, from cask at the splendid CASK Pub & Kitchen place in Pimlico. Nice golden-brown body. Spiced-malty aroma. Rosemary and ginger can be detected in the malty-accented flavour. Dry, hop bitter end (London, 22.03.2011).

Cask handpull at CP&K Pimlico. I mean yes it has rose petal and fporal flowery notes in spades. Not sure I like it though. Bit thin in mouth too. White pepper and red berry fruit flavour. Just too much for me. Interesting but too much like a fruit infusion tea for me

Cask (handpump) at the White Horse on Parsons Green, 27 February 2011. Clear amber colour. Lasting cream head. Fair amount of citrus in the aroma. Quite strong herbal, spicy bitterness on the palate. A hint of sourness in the background. Very firm mouthfeel. I’d like to know exactly what goes into this beer. Unusual and quite interesting but I found it rather hard going.

Cask @ The Rake, London. Pours golden with no head visable. Low carbonation present. On the nose is flowers - rose and herbal notes. Drinks similar to tea but with hoppy bitterness for balance. Interesting stuff and I’d go back for another glass.

Cask at The Southampton Arms, Gospel Oaks, London. Dark, glowing copper with a small head. Perfumey hop aroma. Some spices, especially cinnamon, combined with rose leaves and toffee. Quite original.
