Cask @ Wellington Arms. Bright light to mid-gold in colour. Aroma waxed lemon, grapefruit and seawater.taste is bitter, perhaps too bitter, with very little let-up. A bit of salt and astringency show up to the party as well. Not terribly shabby but I wouldnít go for this again.

Otley O2 Croeso served on Draught at the Bunch of Grapes, Pontypridd. This light Hoppy Ale with bitter aftertones is a classic modern light hop / summer ale style. Easy drinking at anytime of the day with great Citrus notes, this beer is world Class and should be tried whenever possible. Unfortunately I can only recommend Otley beers on draught, not the best beers in Bottles.

Iíve had this one before a few times. However, the last time I had it, it was just marvelous. Got it at the Bunch of Grapes (an Otley pub) in Pontypridd. The looks are light and golden, the aroma was VERY floral and fruity. It was light and hoppy in taste, very aromatic. It just tasted incredible, much more so than what I remembered. I was also having it after a Raging Bitch (8+% abv), so I thought I wouldnít taste it, but after the first sip cleant my palate, the hops really came through on this one. I just canít complain, hoping to get some in cask in summer... absolutely cracking...

Cask at the Albion, Winchester. Pale amber with a ring of loose cream head; aroma of tropical fruits and pineapple; soft and grainy and rather thin with a citrusy taste, perhaps sweet grapefruit; then a dry and biscuity finish. Yet another grapefruit blone - my second today.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Draught at the Bricklayers Arms, Putney, 8th April 2011. Light gold with a hint of white head. Soft grapefruity hop on nose and tongue with good malty balance. Good mouthfeel, not watery but lacks carbonation. Decent mix of sweet and sharp but not likely to pry you away from your favourite golden ale.

Cask at the Duchess of Cambridge, London. Pours clear yellow with a small, bubbly white head. Gorgeous aroma, all pale grass, zesty citrus and straw. Decent flavor, lightly sweet, some more light grass, twangy lemon, mild pale malts. Pretty dry on the finish, some lemon rind, toasted straw and grass, moderate sweetness. Very nice easy drinker.
Earlier Rating: 2/18/2011 Total Score: 2.2
Cask at the Bree Louise. Clear gold pour with a slight film. Sweaty aroma with some sugar and leaves. Not a very pleasant flavor, bits of socks and sweat, some honey. Light bodied and flat. Butter and sweat to finish. Not good...Iím guessing this cask is off.
