From cask at Charlies. Pours slight hazy to cloudy deep orange with a small and slight off-white head. Mild cheesy and fruity hoppy aroma. Sweet fruity, distinct bitterness and light caramelish flavoured. interesting citric bitter and sweet fruity mix. Ends bitter and citric. Nice one.

Otley O2 Croeso served on Draught at the Bunch of Grapes, Pontypridd. This light Hoppy Ale with bitter aftertones is a classic modern light hop / summer ale style. Easy drinking at anytime of the day with great Citrus notes, this beer is world Class and should be tried whenever possible. Unfortunately I can only recommend Otley beers on draught, not the best beers in Bottles.

Cask at the Bree Louise. Clear gold pour with a slight film. Sweaty aroma with some sugar and leaves. Not a very pleasant flavor, bits of socks and sweat, some honey. Light bodied and flat. Butter and sweat to finish. Not good...Iím guessing this cask is off.

Cask, gravity, at Bedford Beer Festival í10. Copper. Leafy hop aroma and taste. Thatís it really: leafy. Like lettuce on the turn. You might as well eat a bag of wild rocket. That was what I wrote in my notebook at the time.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light gold, no head. The aroma is woody/hoppy but with some pedio. At the start of the beer fest :( Light bitterness is a refreshing peachy-berry fruity character.

Cask @ Swansea Bay Beer Festival 2010. Clear bright gold. A bit of smelly foot in the aroma. A few sour notes in the flavors in spite of the fact that the cask was new. These flaws are annoying but donít prevent the beer from being drinkable. It does go down ok but itís not a great beer. My score is probably a bit generous.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Cask - The Whalebone Beer Festival 2010, Norwich. Poured a dark orange with some haze going on and a lasting, one finger off-white head leaving sporadic lacing throughout. Not a bad aroma, light and hoppy grassy, earthy notes, some light-mid fruit notes and an OK caramel malt sweetness. Itís a different story on the tongue, disappointingly: yeasty and earthy, more OK caramel but then a damp flavour takes over leaving only a little left for a drying hop bitterness on the finish. Average palate texture, softish with some carbonation, light to medium body.

Cask in the Market Porter. Alround rating: Pale malt, bit of honey sweetness also, grassy and lemon hop. Sessionable stuff.
