Poured a faint yellow tint, with legs on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, and citrus notes. Taste of mre vanilla, fruitiness, and a light alcohol finish.

Yumi, Excelsior, MN 11/19/2004 Poured so that it runs over the glass into a short dish. The appearance is clear, with perhaps a bit of a pewter tinge. The aroma is melon like. The flavor is much the same, with a bit of warming. Overall, I enjoyed it.

nice honey dew, and melon aromas. Mid palate sweet with a refreshing finish. Lots of melon, a nice sake!

Oakes (12789) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 5, 2004
Bright and clear, slight hint of yellow-green. Aroma shows alcohol first, with a slight lemony note, honeydew and a hint of wood, rounded out by orange blossom honey. The body is smooth, slightly warming. There's some light tropical fruit notes (melon, kumquat, kiwi). Soft and well-integrated. Sweet finish with mildly pepper alcoholic firmness. Everyone claims this to finish dry, but while there is alcoholic dryness I still get a lot of residual sugars back there.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2004 Pretty dry as advertised. From Hokkaido. Alcohol shows through. Had at NYC sake bar. Upon retasting at a Manhattan sake tasting, it seemed smoother with some graininess and a hint of fruit. Pretty light.
