COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Das Original Oberladara ist ein dunkles Bier, bei dem die Vollmundigkeit im Vordergrund steht. Zusätzlich wurde der Geschmack durch ein feines Hopfenaroma abgerundet.

We got to Drugendorf and I was so damn thirsty I stopped at the Kohlmann Brewery, not realizing it’s been closed for years and wasn’t the brewery I was looking for. Thankfully, they had beer from another country brewer, Ott. Ceramic mug. The aroma is toast, breadcrust. Dry, earthy, minerally, with light breadcrust notes.. Clean, basic dunkles. Very dry finish for the style.

Draft @ former Kohlmann brewery in Drugendorf. Has a fizzy beige head that is the exactme color as the krug. Fun malty aroma has some soya sauce and innocuous butter. A little fizzy but soft mouthfeel that leaves some minerals on the tongue. Very dry in the finish but does have some bready malts in the middle with their attendant sweetness. Finishes with soda water minerals. Feels like a homebrew, in a good way.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown, small head. Lightly roasty and bready, a bit nutty. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Salty hops gives careful resiny bitterness. Well balanced.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut colour with a moderate, eggshell-coloured foamy head, slowly lacing. Moderately sweet and toasty malt aroma, slightly bready with a spicy note of barnyard and shy herbal hops in the background. Light-sweet flavour, toast-malty taste with soft notes of caramel and even shy fruity impressions; almost dry finish with balancing bitter and herbal hops.

bottled. deep and dank shade of copper with a steady white head. aroma of fruit salad with cream and a bit of cocoa powder on top. quite grassy, molasses, pine, tar, plenty of roasty bitterness, really buttery texture. i’d just about given up on ever getting excited by a dunkel again but i thought this was great

Bottle, 0.5l. Delirium cafe, Brussel. Clear copper colored beer with an off-white head. Faint malty and fruity aroma, but not much of an aroma anyway. Sweet bitterish, malty taste and a more bitter finish. Althought i don’t think it’s really great, it’s got a good balanced body an a nice mouthfeel.
