UPDATED: DEC 28, 2013 Geschmacklich total interessant.

At Brewery: Pours a deep hazelnut brown color with an off-white head. Very sweet, appealing flavor--as mentioned, brown sugar, caramel, but not overly sweet as to be offensive. My favorite from this brewery.

From bottle at airport hotel in Vienna. Poured a dark red-brown with a big tan head. Nose of fruti and roasted malts. Somewhat sweet. Decent mouthfeel. A pretty good example of its type.

Bottled(500ml). -quite nice dunkel, light caramel aroma with some brown sugar hints, pale brown coloured with medium head. The biggest lack of this beer is that it has only 4.2% alcohol content

Bottle, bought @ a SPAR in Austria.
Pours clear redish brown with a fine, smalll, creamy off-white head with nice lacing. Sweet aroma with some butterscotch and lightly roasted. Some slight chocolate. High-ish carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is pleasant, lots of chocolate, lightly roasted. Fine balance - I actually quite like it. Fine, long, lingering, dry roasted aftertaste.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a thick and persistent beige foamy head. Sweet roast-malty aroma with intense notes of caramel and cacao. Slightly sweet flavour with burnt bitter notes, light to medium bodied, although it has only 4.5% abv, Solid toast-malty taste with caramel and cacao/chocolate; rather dry, sweet-bitter, malt-accented and toasty finish. Balanced and hearty Dunkel (26.08.08).

Tap at Bermuda Brau, Vienna. Pours clear auburn with a fluffy white head. Lightly toasted malt nose with subtle caramel. Nice enough flavor, some toasty bread and good caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish with toasty caramel, dark sugar and slight dark fruits. Decent.

Bottle: deep reddish-amber coloured with a stable beige lacy head; dryish caramelly-nutty nose; light to medium bodied, smooth MF, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; traces of hops in the astonishingly dry and caramelly finish. An austrian goody.........
