COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Pours clear Brown with an off-White head. Aroma is caramel and roast malt. Malty sweet with some character. The flavours are there but not very pronounced. Not so bad for a cheap beer.

Bottle, 03/04/14. Pours a reddish brown with a latte-colored head. Aroma is a light malt breadiness as well as a slight dark dunkel fruitiness. Taste is lightly roasted, lightly chocolatey, some maltiness in there. Rather light on the flavor. Light with not much carbonation. Needs stronger flavors.

On tap in Vienna ... poured standard brown color .. aroma somewhat sweet but also a little bitter. Taste was similar .. subtle caramel notes, less cocoa than others. An OK dunkel, not sure if I would buy again

.5L bottle purchased in Vienna and consumed the same day. Pours a dark copper-amber tinged with reddish highlights. The largish tan head has good retention, but is not thick. Limited lacing. Roasted caramel malts are immediately apparent to the nose, with a marked note of chocolate and a hint of toffee. Medium body with adequate if low carbonation. T: Sweet caramel malts with a hint of toffee. Hops are hidden until the finish and aftertaste. O: This dunkel is clearly above average.
