4.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Translated with Google translator (from German to English) This is my favorite beer! It is unique! Both its color and its taste. It tastes full-bodied, tasty and refreshing.

It seems harder than it should be to find Vienna lagers in Vienna. This is the only one I found and I was satisfied. The color is unmistakably amber red. Creamy toasted malt aroma. Lacey and sweet. Much better than the other plain Ottakringer lagers on tap at Gasometer concert halle.

On tap at Ofenloch in Vienna .. poured nice reddish color, somewhat hazy ... taste was medium bodied, with some creaminess and sweetness. Overall, I nice amber beer and I would buy again

Keg at Alten Kaisermuhlen, Wien. Vivid dark orangey copper, fluffy white head. Restrained nose, soft malts, definite Saaz "lageriness." Thin bodied, nice floral hop flavours over a honeyed malt background. A very tasty, well-balanced and interesting lager.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
22/01 Draught at the 3 Goldenen Kugeln, Graz. It had hazy reddish brown body with medium, slightly off white head. Weaker, sourish aroma, also peachy. Very slightly sweet caramel flavor, balanced with grass hops, but although pleasant it was quite watery. No matter of its thin body, awarded us with quite long, mostly hoppy finish, sourish to slightly bitter, with some caramel sweetness emerging at the very end. It’s definitely a Zwickl, not a Vienna, but I’m not too impressed after all.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Humm, guessing this is it, as the Gösser Jubiläumsbier is refered to mostly as "Dunkles Zwickl". Draught at the 3 Goldenen Kugeln, Seiersberg, Graz as the "beer of the month". Anyway, poured a darker, completely murky red colour. Fruity malty nose, nothing too special. The taste is pretty much more of the same, full and kinda ruined by some kind of acidity and yeastiness. Slightly underwhelming, but still better than the average Austrian lager and it did well to douse the fires the lovely 3 Goldenen Kugeln Country Cordon left in my untrained mouth. I’ll probably rerate this at a point since I’m not 100% sure if I should even be rating it.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap: This looks really nice, hazy reddish brown with a yellowish head. Predominantly flowery and perfumy nose, some soapiness - very subtle and inoffensive, almost too boring. The flavour is slightly roasty and again flowery/hoppy, followed by a short finish. Kind of fizzy but not as watery as the regular Ottakringer as far as I remember. Still mostly unspectacular.

From tap at Stadt Park Bräu. Pours hazy brown to red with a lacing and off-white head. Aroma is roasted malt, butterish and overripe fruity. Malty and overripe fruity. Caramelish and roasted malt. Sweet. Vague liqourice note. Finish has no bitterness but a slightly persisting butter note.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a small amber glare and a creamy, thick and slight tan head. Aroma is breadish and roasted malt. Toffee dry malt flavoured - towards bread. Subdued bitterness mixing in with the dark roasted malt. Ends with a mild fruity note to a dark malt base. Light bitterness coming through.
