I drank this beer in my hotel in Vienna. I prefer this one, instead of the helles. The color ia copper almost like an English pale ale. At the nose, there is a nice smelling but discreet of hop. The carbonation is average with a thin foam. There is a side bitter with hop and malt, well balanced. A good beer coming from this brewery.

500ml can. It has a lot of butter-coloured foam. The beer is deep yellow, maybe golden-coloured. Medium bodied what is a little thin for the alcohol content, sometime you can feel it. Taste is typical vienna: quite sweet (toffee, malt) and clear hop at the end of all gulps.

.33 bottle from Pennymarkt. Pours a sparkling, dark amber gold with a small white head that quickly faded in a tulip glass. Aroma of caramel and hay, some alcohol shining through. Taste is sweet with a light bitterness and salt. Dominant but not overpowering malt, a bit watery, but not thin. Nice, refreshing. It’s a bitty fizzy, the high carbonation is probably what makes it so. If this is their new staple - then Go Ottakringer! It’s nothing special, but a nice and refreshing lager that goes down nice and easy. Probably what they aim for.
