Cask. Some carbonation. Lacing but not a lasting head. Aromas like malt loaf, almonds and cherries. Tastes well balanced - bitter and sweet. Good

Cask @The Nag’s Head, Lyme Regis. Have also sampled this at the Church House Inn, Stokenham. Well-balanced, a very sessionable ale - perfect for 3 or 4 pints at mid-pace over a couple of hours. Love the Otter Brewery ethos and glass/branding, so extra marks for the ambience created.

Cask, handpump @ The Kents, Wellswood Village. Torquay, Devon. Bright and radiant, deep orange amber with a short, compact and lasting, creamy dollop of white atop. Fruity and rich nose of ripe plum, apricot, lemon zest, marmalade conserve with just a little sweet Anzac biscuits. Marmalade and bitter orange in the mouth, quite quenching and tangy with a well played balance of biscuity nutty, rich malts mid-palate and an odd note of sour berries and figs in back. Light in body, smooth and rounded with just a mild prickle of life evident. Ends short, clean with a light spicy hop note fading off. This is delicious stuff. Tried again at the Exmouth Arms, Exmouth and it came up trumps, so a second and third pint was in order. A very sessionable number!

Cask@The Duke Of Wellington, London. Copper colour with a foamy small slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, quite crisp maltyness as well as mild toasted and spicy notes. Flavour is quite much the same, but the crisp maltyness shows up a bit stronger than in the aroma. Pleasant bitterness in the finish and aftertaste.

Cask at The Dolphin, Torquay. Pours copper with a tiny white head. Aroma of dusty and fruity malts. Taste is nutty malts, not much hops at all here, lingering sweet malty aftertaste.
