Competent but difficult to say much more than that. Has the typical south-western harsh bitterness with a hint of toffee and not a huge aroma. Pretty middle of the road.

imdownthepub (7131) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2011
Cask conditioned at A Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. Sweetish toffee caramel maltiness with a restrained leafy hop note. Never becomes bitter enough for a sessionable beer. A little drab.

berkshirejohn (2834) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2011
Cask at the White Hart, Tongham - just down the road from the Hogs Back Brewery. Hazy pale amber with a loose cream head; fruity malt aroma; crisp fruity malt flavour with some apple and apricot; gentle but strongly bitter finish, leaving a classic English hop taste. An excellent ordinary bitter.
