Bottle thanks to Rainer. Pours a clear orange with small white head. The aroma is citrus and pine. Medium mouthfeel with strong juicy hop, citrus, nice bitter finish. Very nice.

Phenomenal citrus hop aroma. Strong grapefruit hoppiness with solid malt aroma as well. Very nice aroma. Taste is malty, maybe a little too sweet, with a bunch of citrus hops and a bit of a bitter piney finish. Pretty balanced but maybe a bit too malty. Very good ipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz. bottle. Aroma is a metric ton of fruits; oranges, citrus pith, grape fruits and some green onion or scallion notes.

The flavor is bold hop flavors but showcasing juicy fruits. Pineapple, orange, grapefruit rind with a touch of pine. The body has just enough malt to not have it totally unbalanced. The texture is slick with mild resin toward the finish. Carbonation is normal with a medium body. This is just plain, tasty!

12oz bottled 9/27 and drank 10/5, so this should be about as fresh as it gets. Pours a clear orange with a bubbly white head and slow rising carbonation. Smells fruity and hoppy, citrus and grapefruit reminds me of lagunitas IPA. Aroma and complexion make this seem very appealing for sure. Very hop forward and bitter, probably because the hops are super fresh. To me that’s all that separates it from any other DIPA that has fruit flavored hops like this. Forward bitterness overshadows malt and grapefruit pineapple flavors come across light on the finish. Has a light, watery body with somewhat sharp carbonation. Good, easily drinkable and like heady topper not really all that special. Why not just put it in a 6p year round for a reasonable price?

Bottle on 10/3/14. Clear light amber with an autumnal orange fitting the moment. Off white-ish head that dissipates. Good lacing. Aroma is piney, somehow creamy (cocoa butter?), a touch of citrus. Taste is very complex. First is piney, hop citrus, then sweet malt, creamy caramel, dry and bitter finish. Well balanced. Great mouthfeel, soft. A level of complexity that I haven’t found in that many DIPAs. Very surprising and exciting but not necessarily the most delicious DIPA. Great!

Bottle from Brewtopia. Light copper with chill haze off white head and lotsa lace. Grapefruit and orangy spicy hop aroma. Medium fruity sweet orangy and crackery grainy malts with some hints of honey and assertive grapefruit rind and pine bitterness accentuated by lively carbo in medium full body. Wicked fresh and delicious and pretty clean for such a full body. Excellent.

Bottle poured into a tulip: Pours hazy orange with plenty of white head. Aroma is heavy grapefruit, tropical fruits, and resin. Taste is more of the same, but I find the malt base to be unusually sweet. This feels a lot heavier than I expected it to. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, very nice beer but not as good as Double Sunshine or Sip of Sunshine.

Transfer from BA review on 10-17-13- Poured from bottle into a snifter Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy orange-amber color with a nice white foamy head. The head has a good level of retention, but slowly fades over time to leave a great level of lace on the sides of the glass and islands of foam floating atop the brew. Smell – The aroma is sweet and citrusy. The sweet is a blend of tropical fruits, with mango and papaya, as well as some sweet citrus of tangerine and orange. Along with the sweeter citrus is a good deal of a grapefruit hop smell. A great aroma of floral hop smells and some light pine and herbal hop join the profile, producing a nice sweet and rather complexly hopped aroma. Taste – The taste begins with only a lighter level of sweeter fruit flavors, very different from all the fruit that was detected in the aroma. Upfront there is a good deal of a biscuit and bready flavor as well as a big grapefruit hop flavor. The grapefruit starts out strong and gets even stronger as the flavor advances. The bready and sweet flavors largely fade, but more biscuit and much more hop comes to the tongue as the taste advances to the end. Hop flavors of a grassy and pine nature come to the tongue in the middle and the end. While the sweeter flavors fade after the initial taste, a little bit of tangerine and orange sweetness comes back to the tongue at the finish of the taste, combining with the more heavily hopped taste to leave a lightly citrusy sweet but rather largely citrusy bitter flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thick and creamy side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. Both are great for accentuating the big hop flavors while minimizing the sweeter flavors to some extent. Overall they create a rather nice slow sipper that really allows all the hop flavors to shine. Overall –While not completely balanced as it could use a slightly more malt/sweet flavor more toward the middle of the taste, it does have a nice hop profile and even at 8.5% maintains a rather easy drinking feel. A fairly nice double.

Pours hazy copper color with white head. Big citrus aroma with pineapple and slight coconut nuttiness. Oily mouthfeel. Big citrus start with grassiness and tropical fruit. Finishing with big dank pine resin. Really great brew.

At big Seth’s going away party on 11/2/2013; was an awesome day! Aroma is floral wheat, soft hopiness. Taste is smooth earthy hops, some interesting spices I can’t put my finger on. A decent beer, but nothing after double sunshine.
