A malty amber ale, brewed with 2-row barley malt, caramel malt, and malted wheat, and four different varieties of hops, for a smooth, balanced flavor. The perfect apres ski refreshment, or for any time you want to relax and warm up during the colder months to come.

Bottled 10/29/03, Batch #1444. Dark orange/amber color with a smaller dark cream colored head. Caramel malt and earthy licorice root aromas. I'm not not a licorice fan so my aroma score may be skewed a touch downward. Interesting flavors. I'm having a hard time pining the flavors down. It reminds me of something... Actually this reminds me of honey roasted peanuts. Yep! certainly honey roasted peanut. Rose floral hops fill in the finish. Different, definately different.

Bottled 11/4/03. Dark amber coloring with a small beige head. Aroma is of malt accented by hops. Exhibits a mild smooth malt flavor accompanied by a mild floral hoppiness. The hops bitterness briefly increases then fades away leaving a dry, light malt aftertaste.

Deep orange amber hue. Sweet malt nose. Small, sticky beige head. Caramel, biscuity malts, light to medium bodied, finishing wih hops! Wow, this is better than I would expect from these guys. Sticky resinous hops, floral and refreshing. Not too shabby from the guys in Middlebury...

Dark amber colour with a super dense tan head. Great fragrant aroma of strawberries, caster sugar, caramel, malt and english hops. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malt flavour perfectly balanced with citrusey and english hops. Aftertaste shows a lot of the complexities as well as a good hop kick. Overall, this was a lot better than expected, and actually one of my favourite offerings from this brewery. Definately worth picking up if you can find it. I bought this twelve ounce bottle (bottled on 04-November-2003 batch #1448) at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2004 Bottled 11/4/03 Sparkling clear copper color. The head is off-white and leaves nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is malt. Not very complex. Flavor is malt with some hops but not too much. Flavor is very malt neutral, some citrus hop flavors. The bitterness develops more on the aftertaste as does the sweetness. The body is medium. Overall not bad but not the best either.
