Feb. 2007 - Amber ale? Pour was dark brown, very little head, some lacing. Aroma was of rotten cardboard. Taste was somewhat better. Well, if tasting like nothing is better than rotten cardboard, then it’s better. Very faint flavor of roasted malts, sweet malts and very mild hops...oh yeah, and just a tad of rotten cardboard. Man, these brewers and their winter ales...bad.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma is weak. Smells of malt and bread. Poured amber in color with a small off-white head that diminished. Clear and very sparkling. Flavor is quite malty and unbalanced. "Four different varieties of hops" not detected at all. Tastes like a brown paper bag. Not really sweet or bitter, but is sour in the finish. Light body. Lively carbonation. Sour finish. Maybe a bad bottle? I could not even finish this.

To start off, this beer smells kinda like puke. Which might mean it would smell good after you get drunk off it and blow chunks, but that research is not my raison d’etre. It tastes like sugarey puke. A pukey beer all around. At least it’s not Anheuser World Select. -guest rating by adamskillin
