India Pils Lager
Our spring seasonal offering brewed with 100 percent positive vibrations and single-hopped with Citra hops. The presence of the Citra hop is elevated by a clean fermenting lager yeast that allows the subtle Pilsner, Munich and Vienna malts to lay a crisp, bready foundation. The citrus and tropical fruit character of the Citra hop comes from kettle additions followed by a huge dose of ‘em again in the fermenter.

I had this on draft from a fresh growler. This beer is now on my short list of go-to hoppy beers. The hop aroma and flavor of this beer dominates in spectacular fashion.

Draft at Smoke & Barrel in DC. Lightly hazy golden pour with orange tints. Beautiful nose and flavor with rich, bitter lemon hop character from the Citra, hints of loam and earth, lemongrass, touches of white grapefruit. The slightest malt sweetness to keep things balanced enough, but mostly just a crisp, clean, extremely hoppy lager. Stunning, particular when considering the brewery’s portfolio otherwise. This and recent positive efforts from Long Trail really make the future in Vermont look bright, even without considering Hill, Lawson, and Alchemist. Would drink this all summer if given the chance.

A few bottles from SAMs. Quite enjoyed this brew. Nice citra nose and flavor with an easier drinking lager-like body. Some more malty like flavors in the finish but still very good for a hoppy lager. Especially ftpm Otter Creek. Count me impressed.

pours slightly hazy bright yellow with a frothy and rocky white head, very good retention and lacing. juicy citrus, pink grapefruit, tropicalness, almost candy-like and juice-like features, herbal leafiness - hint of floral-grassy noble hops in the background, green tea, sweetish fresh pils malt, lager svelt fruitiness - lean, wheat and citra - hint of tartness. moderate carbonation, light body - oily, assertive herbal-grassy-citrusy finish. balanced, bold, complex and tasty. this stuff is brilliant..

Bottle. Interesting twists here. Presents a slightly-more-hazy take on a classic European pilsner, bright golden with a frothy white head. The aroma is tight and citric. This drinks with what would generally form a solid basis for a great, snappy pilsner. The citra brings an uber-lemon, citric acidity that takes it a great step forward from the "old way." Nicely done. (#5454, 3/8/2014)

12 oz. bottle. Pour is slightly hazy gold with a big fluffy white head. Nose is a bit yeasty with piney spicy hops and grapefruit. Taste is not quite what I expected. Good bit of malt and citrus sweetness up front smoothed out by the lager yeast and a mildly bitter and citrusy aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light to medium, really good lacing. This is a really nice spring beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle. Hazy pale gold color. Huge Rocky white head. Exquisite clinging lace. Wonderful perfumy citra hop nose. First sip brings a mix of complex sweet toasted malt and lemony hops. Slightly sulphury and yeasty as you reach the midtaste. This a big hoppy brew that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. Beautiful balance and amazing quafability. Finishes slightly sweet with a touch of pink grapefruit. All in all, a splendid effort.

Golden straw colour, good sized head, lots of lace. Citrus and tropical fruit, grass in the aroma. Nice blast of hops up front, lemongrass, tropical fruit, a bit of dankness, biscuit, light sweetness. Body is spot on. Incredibly drinkable.
