3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the dutch, into a cheater pint
Amber color with a nice silkey off white head, good retention. Scent of light roast and noble hop. Nice malt body melded well with noble hop, slight chalkiness. Over all a good beer and a style I wish was more common.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Aroma is malty. Taste is malt. Earthy, metallic and a bit of hops at the end. Easy smooth drinking beer. Not much going on. OK beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Amber bronze copper appearance. No nose. Taste is like an earth covered penny. Mild bitterness a touch of salami peppery spice. Finish is smooth.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - A brown amber color to it, almost no head. Dryness to it, no sweetness or hop flavor. Middle of the road and nothing special with this one.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
DATE REVIEWED: May 24, 2014... GLASSWARE: Howard’s Pub pint... OCCASION: a holdover from the last poker night... APPEARANCE: dark amber body that is lively and slightly opaque; off-white head is mostly creamy with a bit of rocky space; good open lacing... AROMA: sharp caramel malts with enough metallic clank to disturb the doughy biscuit that settles... PALATE: smooth yet slightly warm; mellow, swift and too light to hold attention... TASTE: nutty and caramel with the sweetness near to lip-smacking; hops are in check and not distinguishable... OVERALLL: serviceable and sessionable, but not a six-pack I’d seek to revisit; rather straightforward and predictable, with only the comfort factor working in its favor....

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Transfer From BA -
Poured from a bottle into pint glass
Appearance - pours a nice copper color (as the name implies). Very little head on this with little or no lacing though.
Smell - Smells of sweetness of caramel and toffee first meet the nose. Then a bit of toasted malt.
Taste - Mainly a sweetness of caramel. Picking up a little bit of hop ( a small amount;hard to pin down exactly) flavor latter in the tasting experience mixed with some maltiness as well.
Mouthfeel - A good level of carbonation and a decent body.
Overall - A good beer. Nothing exceptional, but good for the everyday brew.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Smells of metallic (copper?) notes with a hint of malt. Great tan/brown, rich color. Taste is very balanced, with a touch of sweetness. Palate is bold, crisp and smooth. Makes for a good session.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle. Copper amber in color, as one would expect, filtered with an eggshell colored head. Plenty of carbonation. Aroma is bready with sweet caramel, a touch of sweet citrus. Taste is bready and sweet with a faint hop profile, caramel and maybe some pineapple in the malt. Tasty and sessionable.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reviewed from notes. I’ve had this beer more than enough times in my life when I used to live in the New England area and almost always prefer this on tap and with food.
The appearance has a clear red/amber slightly copper colored body with a fingers worth of foamy white head. There was some light speckled yet spotty lacing that trickled down the sides of the glass. There is not any surfacing carbonation.
The smell is slightly malty, but mainly roasty nuttiness. Some breadiness comes out in the smell.
The taste is mainly the roasted nuttiness. Some caramel comes out in the taste.
The palate sits about a medium with a light carbonation profile. It leaves a slightly dry feel to my mouth.
Overall, this is not a bad beer, very similar to an American Brown, so I should really like it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is malt, caramel, and a bit of floral. Easy to drink and easy to forget.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Pours burgundy with thin white head that dissipates. Medium carbonation over malt aroma. So so copper beer.
