A medium bodied, amber ale inspired by the Altbiers of Northern Germany. Copper Ale is characterized by a well-balanced blend of malty notes and mild bitterness.

On tap at the dutch, into a cheater pint Amber color with a nice silkey off white head, good retention. Scent of light roast and noble hop. Nice malt body melded well with noble hop, slight chalkiness. Over all a good beer and a style I wish was more common.

bottle. Copper amber in color, as one would expect, filtered with an eggshell colored head. Plenty of carbonation. Aroma is bready with sweet caramel, a touch of sweet citrus. Taste is bready and sweet with a faint hop profile, caramel and maybe some pineapple in the malt. Tasty and sessionable.

Reviewed from notes. I’ve had this beer more than enough times in my life when I used to live in the New England area and almost always prefer this on tap and with food. The appearance has a clear red/amber slightly copper colored body with a fingers worth of foamy white head. There was some light speckled yet spotty lacing that trickled down the sides of the glass. There is not any surfacing carbonation. The smell is slightly malty, but mainly roasty nuttiness. Some breadiness comes out in the smell. The taste is mainly the roasted nuttiness. Some caramel comes out in the taste. The palate sits about a medium with a light carbonation profile. It leaves a slightly dry feel to my mouth. Overall, this is not a bad beer, very similar to an American Brown, so I should really like it.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear golden brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is malt, caramel, and a bit of floral. Easy to drink and easy to forget.

Bottle. Pours burgundy with thin white head that dissipates. Medium carbonation over malt aroma. So so copper beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The other bottled option at the Willoughvale Inn. Pours a nice copper (good for them!) with a thin white head that leaves light lacing. Nose is composed almost solely of caramel, pretty simple. Taste is also of caramel, not too sweet but not too complex either. Body is medium, carbonation high. Maybe this suffered in comparison with the Long Trail Ale I had just before that one, but I can pretty confidently say that this one (and the other one) is not for me.

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Slightly hazy light copper color with a small off white head. Somewhat nutty and light caramel aroma, with biscuity malt and faint floral hops. Sweetish malt, some caramel, light honey and nuts notes, lo-med bitterness, faint fruitiness. Medium body, a bit stale, soft carbonation, OK for style.

Tap at World of Beer Baltimore. Pours clear amber with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast and nutty, earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle. Unclear amber with a small to medium off-white head. Aroma of malt and caramel, a bit stale, with some nuttiness and some fruity notes. Sweetish malt flavor, a bit stale, with caramel, a bit of toastiness, nutty hints, light fruitiness and a mildly bitter finish with light hoppiness. Medium-bodied. So-so.

Color cobrizo de ahi el nombre. No mucha espuma ni huella. Cuerpo ligero, gran carbonación. Aroma leve a hierbas y heno. No dura. Buen sabor, con notas a lupulos y maltas con un lligero acento astringente. El paladar es bueno en los primeros tragos, con citricos y amargor balanceado, pero a medida que se oxigena la cerveza, pierde su fuerza.
