12oz into a pint. Pour is fluid, no rising head or picturesque development. Flat. Taste is a bit flat too, not offering much of a dominant presence on the hop or malt level, its a push between the two. an average copper brew here. Would expect more from VT, but it still holds on true to a quality microbrew. Color is a medium brown.dark orange. Aroma is distant spice, foul b.oder, and a bit hoppy. A fall beer nonetheless, but could be much more in theory.

12oz bottle, from variety pack, poured into 16oz tulip glass

Aroma: Caramel, toffee, sweet, malty, floral hops

Appearance: Amber color, hazy, off white head

Taste: Sweet with a little bitterness

Palate: Medium body, dry finish

Overall: Slightly sweet with some bitterness. Very clean lager. Slight floral aroma. Nice balance with hops and malts. Nice dry finish.

Same style and very, very similar taste to Long Trail Ale. Between this or LT Ale, I think I enjoy LT Ale by a little. I probably couldn’t pick out each beer from each other in a blind taste test.

I think Altbiers like this and Long Trail Ale are great beer-beers. Nothing crazy, nothing too intense, good balance and great tasting. I don’t drink a lot of Altbiers, except for LT Ale and OC Copper, but these are solid beer.

Pours from a bottle a dark amber. Aroma is some floral hops, a little dark wheat. Flavor is a nice sweet maltiness, with some whole wheat toast flavor and a pleasant bitterness. A good beer.

From a variety pack.....pours a copper color, surprise, with a medium white head which lingers a bit.....aroma is a bit fruity, earthy......taste is earthy, astringent bitterness, light mouthfeel, disappears quickly off the palette with a bit of a metallic end.

Bottle from variety pack. Aroma of toasted caramel malt, corn, barley, molasses. Flavor is slightly metallic and heavy on the earthy malt and hop. Strange bitterness to it. It’s a bit unpleasant but decent flavor notes.

Aroma: Bready malt aromas with hints of yeast and cooked vegetables. A bit off putting. Appearance: Clear copper color with no head. Taste: Light sweetness with a light sourness in the finish. Palate: Light body, slick oily texture, soft carbonation, long dry finish. Overall: Meh...pretty disappointing. There’s a lot out there that’s better, and I couldn’t see any purpose in seeking this one out.

Bottle. Aroma is malty. Taste is malt. Earthy, metallic and a bit of hops at the end. Easy smooth drinking beer. Not much going on. OK beer.
