changeup45 (567), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 12, 2008 Sampled on draft and via the bottle and was better on draft. A nice copper color to it topped with a good head which lelf a nice amount of lacing. Taste was a refreshing with sweet spiced flavor. Slightly hoppy bitter notes at the end with a clean finish. A touch fruity but not too much. Perhaps a little thin on the mouthfeel. A good overall balance to this beer and something I’d look forward to having again.
DrDavid (200), , Vermont, USA Sep 3, 2008 (Bottle). Malty, yeasty aroma. Hazy copper in color, with small off-white head. Flavor is mostly malty, with mild sweetness and a touch of spice. Subtle, but pleasant and refreshing. Not bad at all. gsmitty80 (516), Washington DC, USA Aug 27, 2008 I thought this was a good altbier. Poured copper, as you would imagine with good head and nice lacing as it was drank. Taste was bold, flavorful and slightly bitter. Finish was indiscernible. pforei (335), USA Aug 7, 2008 Thin and refreshing. Typical teutonic toasty caramel malt. Smidge of earhty hops. Slightly dry finish with surprisingly somewhat bitter aftertaste.
joebudzjoe (105), Connecticut, USA Jul 13, 2008 To the Otter Creek tradition, their Copper Ale isn’t too fancy, just decent, solid beer. Aromas and tastes of sweet malts with dry hop. Underhook (112), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Jul 5, 2008 Given to me by my uncle during a July 4 party. Deep red hue. Smells pleasantly malty. Nothing crazy, but a well balanced, enjoyable taste. Quality brew here.
