JF_GRIND (1210), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA May 21, 2007 Updated: May 22, 2007 Another stop on the Otter Creek one-off world beer tour arrives in Belgium. Abbey Tripel starts with banana yeast and clove aroma and a flat golden body. Bready, woody, spiced malt abbey Tripel from Otter Creek. Tripel style character has been lost Otter Creek’s interpretation. At four bucks a bomber this is more for fans of the brewery. I am a fan of Otter Creek and will try the next offering on their world tour of beers.
Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden body. Aroma flavor is sweet malt, and corn. Skip this one. hopdog (4569), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA May 30, 2008 22oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis. Poured a meidum and lightly hazy yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of apples, pears, light spices, and some breadiness. Tastes of the same fruitines and some spices. Lightly sweet and thin body. TomDecapolis (2420), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA May 29, 2008 Pours a lightly hazy golden with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of biscuit, mixed citrus, corn and sugary sweet. Flavor was bready, corn sugar, some light spices, mixed citrus and malty. Really not too great. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA Feb 27, 2008 Not a good tripel or a good beer from otter creek. One of the weakest of their trip around the world. This is a place I would probably not go to again. Goodgrief (1020), Middletown, Delaware, USA Feb 16, 2008 Nov. 2006 - The guy at the beer store recommended this to me...probably because he was trying to get rid of them. Smells like white grape juice and tastes like white grape juice. Honestly, there was very little else going on in this one. You almost could have convinced me it was a cider. Not good at all.
