A big, unfiltered American IPA built to accompany the big Eastern Winter. Just like an epic bluebird day follows a snow storm, a peppery build from the Rye-malt accompanies glorious hop notes of pine, citrus and fresh grass.

The bold Rye-malt backbone warms the soul, whether after a long day on the slopes with your buds, or just sitting in front of the fireplace at home.

At 60 IBUs, Kind Ryed uses a combination of Apollo, Simcoe, Chinook and Centennial hops to create a drinkable brew that won’t wipe out your tastebuds. The new look bottle label and packaging artwork goes out-of- bounds and embraces the freeriding spirit of our Brewmaster, Mike Gerhart. It’s his bus that adorns the label and his recipe that fills the bottles. Hop on the bus and take a Kind Ryed with us.

Bottle to a glass mug. Pours a cloudy yellow with a yellowish head. Great nose of citrus hops. Has a nice citrus hop flavor, not too overpowering. The rye adds an earthy flavor. Pretty good.

Pours a hazy golden with a thin white head......aroma of grapefruit.....taste is near all grapefruit, the rye spice has trouble peeking through but does in the middle, then bitter to earth notes which don’t go away. Odd balance, maybe out of balance.

OK, from the start I think this is not sokind. Smells like an IPA with some BO in there. Nice lacing BTW. Barely any co2. The taste is strong bitter pointed. Rye laced BS. Not kind as advertised, jsut a bitter poning annoying beer. In yer face at times.THo not viscous like and ipa but vertainly just as menacing. More astringent than expected. Not impressed.

12 oz. bottle purchased at The Beer Store, Nashua NH. Lightly hazy gold color with thin spotty lacing. Pretty mild aroma even when warm. Weak rye malt, traces of grapefruit.

Maybe it takes a lot to impress me because this just seems underwhelming. Spicy rye and lingering grapefruit bitterness lingers long after the sip. Normally that is a good thing, here however, it throws the balance out of wack. Also lots of grapefruit as it warms with a higher than desirable carbonation level. Meh

Bottle just from Craft Beer Cellar. Great rye,and tons and tons of it, though the hopping is there it’s so-so. Good drinkability nevertheless.

Bottle from Lisai’s. Bright clear copper with lasting dense head and lace. Citrus and dankass green bud aroma. Very mild peachy fruity sweetness some biscuity malts. Assertive citrus rind and woody pine finish. Medium light and lively carbo. Excellent.

Draft. Clear amber with thin off white head. Aroma and taste are pine, citrus and sweet malt. Not really tasting the rye but that's not bothering me. Solid offering.

Citrus, pine aroma with notes of spice. Appearance is a hazy gold with a white head with good retention. Grassy, citrus, pine hop flavor with a spicy character from the rye. Hop bitterness is high. Mouthfeel is medium with a slight slickness. Overall, it's ok. The grassiness detracts from the beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazed, bright amber appearance with a large, off white head and good lacing. Aroma of coarse grains precede herbal, resinous hops. A variety of hops in the forefront with spicyness lingering in the aftertaste. The rye provides good balance and add to the depth of the flavor. Kindred spirits at Otter Creek have provided a good one.

A nice IPA that has a balanced hop profile and the good clean otter creek taste. These guys keep getting better and great marketing, label.
