nearbeer (1101), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 13, 2008 12 oz. Clear, golden honey-colored with a small lasting ring above. Aroma is dry lemongrass and grain. Flavor is bittersweet wheat, woody herb, light citrus oil, resin, slight honey and bubblegum. Light body is dry and mostly smooth with a light tingle. This one gets hoppier and tastier as I get near the bottom of the glass. crazyvin (1057), New York, USA Jul 10, 2008 yellow hue with some carbonation present. a thin white head that has moderate retention. Aroma is very mild notes of wheat and some generic sweetness. Hops are present but pretty much floral. No real citrus or citrus-like finish. Crisp and refreshing. puboflyons (352), New Hampshire, USA Jul 8, 2008 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with a slightly obscured marking that looks like: 29/091 OT#2007. Pours a basic yellow with white fizzy head and a goodly amount of carbonation. Aroma of grass and hops. OK mouthfeel. Flavor is kind of hopped and slightly sour but I don’t notice much in the way of citrus. I have had better summer ales. VTHopHead (640), Barre, Vermont, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle - Poured a yellow amber in color with a medium white head that thinned to a rim around the glass. Aroma was grainy with wheat and malts and slightly sour. Flavor is a bit sweet with some grassy hops mixed in. Not unpleasant, but not a really good example of a wheat/summer ale. dpjuart (520), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours sunny yellow with fizzy white head, 1/2 finger, dissipating to a white film with mild lacing. Skunky corn nose with mild maltiness w/ a touch of butter. Taste is sweet malt with mild buttered popcorn, carbonic mouth feel with a crisp ending, only mild butter notes lingering. Nice lawnmower beer, but not really my bag.
