Foxbush (452), Richmond, Virginia, USA Oct 12, 2007 Updated: Nov 23, 2007This was a gift purchased at Total Wine of Richmond. The head was afrothy white with modest lacing. The color was slightly cloudy amber. The aroma was special with grapefruit immediately attacking your nostrels. The citrus flavors were just right for a pale ale. It is a balanced beer with medium body. The APA is a good one. The finish was slightly bitter as it should be. This APA beats all lagers by a mile. jimhilt (1663), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Oct 12, 2007 Pours a five-finger off-white head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Malty/hoppy nose. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied. Flavor has occasional sweetness with hoppiness, metallic/hoppy aftertaste. 12oz bottle $1.50 from Capitol Convenience Concord, NH. TheBeerBaron (218), Florida, USA Oct 10, 2007 Copper hue, white head and a good amount of carbonation. Your classic healthy looking ale. An orange type aroma is at the forefront of this pale ale, strange but true. Aroma is light on malt and hops - expected more. The palate is light and a tine toward the watery side. Taste is pleasing but unremarkable in fact I find it tough to pick out one flavor that come to the forefront. A light rendition to this style. Would be good for the beer novice or those who like them tame. cbeers21 (563), Miami, Florida, USA Oct 8, 2007 Nice gold color with soild head. NIce hoppy body well balanced by subdued spice witha refreshing finish. A drinkable, and solid brew. pamoja (57), Rochester, New York, USA Oct 6, 2007 Fresh out of a keg with a beautiful copper pour with nice tan head that was undiminshing. Great keg beer! biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Sep 28, 2007 Good, but not great. I’ve had about 10,000 pale ales at this point, and this is actually better than a lot of them. In other news, I know something really awesome. I’ll tell you if you’re really awesome. mrant (330), New York, USA Sep 23, 2007 Smells of grapefruit and faintly of malts. Pours a nice clear light copper color with a small white head. Very tasty. Well balanced hops with nice caramel roasted malts with a not-too-dry finish. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Sep 20, 2007 This is definitely a well hopped beer but it is also nicely balanced. Tart citrus flavors dominate but caramel serves as a counter balance. No bite to this beer and almost no bitterness.
