Veeve (312), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Apr 17, 2007 pours medium amber body with a sm-medium off-white head. palate is a little thin but goes down smooth. smells of dry citrus and grapefruit, florals and sweet bread. tastes of sweet bread, citrus hops emerge towards the finish, grapefruit, sour. doughy overall. tagz (334), USA Apr 5, 2007 This is a solid pale ale. Doesn’t blow me out of the water but has a well rounded taste. Some citrus on the front end, moderate carbonation, and a hoppy bitter toward the end. Just the right amount of bitter in my opinion. The brief citrus and crisp end make it a refreshing brew. I like my ale a little more dynamic but this is a solid beer, for sure. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 24, 2007 Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium foamy off white head that left some nice lacing. Aroma of fresh sun tea, light malty sweetness, grains and bready with just hints of citrus. Flavor is at first a bit vegetal and metallic. As that cleared up I was getting hints of caramel, some biscuit and slight hop flavor and bitterness. Tmoney99 (4661), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 21, 2007 Bottle. Poured dark amber with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly and produced fair lacing. Moderate hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Medium hoppy bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of average duration. Good drinkable brew. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Mar 11, 2007 Golden Amber with White Ring. Caramel Malt and Wet Hop Aroma. Initially Cascade Hops are Presented...Following a Caramel and Grainy Malt Flavor...Ending with a Caramel and Crisp Hop Finish. Fairly Similiar to What You’d Find in an English Pale Ale. smag4life (17), Groton, Connecticut, USA Mar 4, 2007 I thought this beer had a very nice aroma to it and suited the palate pretty well. The flavor could have been less bitter on the finish, but overall the flavor was pretty nice. I can’t really compare it to other APAs because this is this the first APA I’ve tasted, but overall it was enjoyable and I would drink it again. thornecb (1737), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Feb 13, 2007 Pours orange/copper into a shaker. Head quickly recedes with tear lacing. Upfront malt and well-balanced. Dry, bitter resin finish. TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA Jan 13, 2007 Drinkable APA, with nice Cascade hop flavor, but nothing really clicks to make it memorable. Maybe a better lawnmower beer than anything.
