Commercial Description:
A refreshing, golden amber brew, with Cascade hops from the Yakima Valley. Adding Cascades during conditioning captures the rich aroma of the hop, and completes the clean, well-balanced flavor of our American pale ale. Crisp, refreshing and exotically aromatic.

Standard pale ale observations. Very noticeable hops, although not excessively bitter. Thin beer with the standard floral/citrus characteristics. A nice pale ale, but not outstanding.

12 oz bottle. Lot# 1862 bottled 2/8/06. Clear dark golden color with thin white head and no lace. Smells of caramel, nuts, corn, and a touch of brown sugar. There is also a light flowery hop aroma. Mild sprucy hop flavor and bitterness throughout that dominates the malt.

Pours a reddish golden color. Aroma is kind of sweet, with some nice hop scents. Flavor is grainy/citrus with a dry finish.

Poured a caramel brown with orange highlights that leave a clear body with a frothy tan head. The smell is sweet a delicious caramel, malted milk, hop citrus, fruity raisins, and plums. The taste is dry, crisp, slightly watery. When a nose is so malty upfront I expect a sweeter beer but that is not the case here. Overall this is a solid pale ale very session worthy. I paired this beer with a rotisserie jerk chicken which really brought out the spiciness in the beer.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark copper color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is sweet grapefruit and light pine. The flavor is tangy and has fairly strong grapefruit and pine elements. There is a dry malty finish. A solid if fairly basic pale ale.

12 oz bottle. Amber beer, thick white head. Malty, pale ale malt, light earthy notes, a bit of caramel sweetness. Some definite hop aroma, both grapefruit and woody. Might be cascades, might be something else. Flavour is decent, with sweet caramel malt balanced by sweet citrusy hops. A bit sugary though. OK, but not spectacular.

Delicious! One of the better pale ales. It’s hoppy, yet smooth. A good balance. Nothing overpowering. Delicious.
