heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 5, 2005 Medium orange color with a frothy slightly yellowish white head. The aroma is burnt apples with some underlying soap. The taste has a strong note of grapefruit with a hint of pine. There is also a little bit of bitter iced tea. An ok APA, but certainly nothing I will seek out again. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA May 26, 2005 Bottle - Pours golden/amber with a short offwhite head. Aroma is citrus and pine and a touch of caramel. Flavor is grapefruity, with a touch of sweet caramel and a bitter finish. On the palate it is fairly light but didn’t seem very well balanced. The hops seemed to take over. This was drinkable but average at best. waeltzy (53), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA May 24, 2005 A Low to medium grade pale ale. Slightly less complex than the copper ale but more drinkable. Hoppy start with a bitter mid-taste. The after taste really did not impress me. I like pale ales so i was happy to drink this. I would drink it again if it was in a friends fridge, but I do not think i would buy another case of this. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA May 15, 2005 A decent ale, but nothing that great. Very evident hops. Harsh aftertaste. WesBeerGuy (62), Rocky Hill, Connecticut, USA May 12, 2005 Pours hazy golden color. Smells floral and hoppy, rather strongly for an APA. Tastes bitter with a citrus touch, medium body, bitter finish. Not exploding with flavor, but a good mild beer. kyzr (1119), Belgrade, Montana, USA Apr 28, 2005 Nice deep gold color with good head. Hoppy citrus aroma. Flavors of grapefruit with llittle malt. Somewhat watery in the middle. A little unbalanced for my taste. Very bitter finish. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 27, 2005 Dark straw colored with aroma of hopcit and some spice. Medium to light palate with a flavor of hopcit, malt, and some fruit. Decent, but not great. jasonwood (3), California, USA does not count Mar 30, 2005 Boy oh boy...not a lot going on here. A nice, soft bready aroma to start. Appearance is perhaps amber, but mostly pale. The taste, though...just not outstanding...a basic, not particularly remarkable, pale ale.
