tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Jul 6, 2004 Picked up this brew to enjoy while watching Opening Day baseball.
Poured into the glass with little head. Golden and very clear. It has a heavy, sticky smell. That’s good though. Rolls over the tounge nicely, and the Cascade hops stay with you for a while. Medium body and carbonation.
Not one of my favorite Pale Ales, but no way I would turn it down if offerd to me.
wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Jun 29, 2004 Bottle. Very small but frothy head. Copper colored and hazy with small floaties(particulate matter). Nose is straw and pine with some citrus. Flavor is slightly fruity and has a bitter aftertaste of straw and pine. Dry mouth feel. Mads Langtved (2246), Copenhagen K, Denmark Jun 16, 2004 Very refreshing and medium bitter. Very pleasant. Quite fruity. Smooth. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jun 13, 2004 Bottled 5/3/04: Pours a clear light copper with a airy white lacy head. Aroma has a nice cascade hoppy balance combined with a subtle amount of sweet caramel malt. Starts nicely sweet and well-balanced with a bitter hoppiness. Not much complexity, but very smooth and drinkable. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jun 11, 2004 another pleasent apa. maltly aroma with a hint of grapefruit. light flavor with a very pleasent palate. A very gentle ale with a nice touch hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Jun 6, 2004 Bottle. Small sized off-white head and fine-medium sized bubbles that fully diminished. Fast-rising carbonation, transparent and a golden hue. Malty and hoppy aroma. Hoppy taste with a mild bitter aftertaste. Tingly palate. Light-medium bodied APA with sparse lacing. thedm (3833), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 4, 2004 This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of fine to large sized off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was a softly carbonated transparent orange light brown color. The aroma was a nice malty hoppy pale ale one. The mouth feel was initially tingly and hoppy then settled down into a more mild hop bite. A light bitterness in the mouth and a medium hop bite make this a good pale ale for those not wanting a brew that is too hoppy. tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada May 31, 2004 Lightly hopped fruity aroma. Dark golden with thin white head that recedes to cover with marginal lace. Sweet malt up front with pleasing bitterness in the back end. Easy to drink with decent carbonation but not overwhelming. Perhaps a bit light. Bottle.
