Aroma has a nice cascade hoppy balance combined with a subtle amount of sweet caramel malt. Starts nicely sweet and well-balanced with a bitter hoppiness. Not much complexity, but very smooth and drinkable. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 4, 2004 This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of fine to large sized off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was a softly carbonated transparent orange light brown color. The aroma was a nice malty hoppy pale ale one. The mouth feel was initially tingly and hoppy then settled down into a more mild hop bite. A light bitterness in the mouth and a medium hop bite make this a good pale ale for those not wanting a brew that is too hoppy. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2004 Lightly hopped fruity aroma. Dark golden with thin white head that recedes to cover with marginal lace. Sweet malt up front with pleasing bitterness in the back end. Easy to drink with decent carbonation but not overwhelming. Perhaps a bit light. Bottle. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 20, 2004 This has your typical color with a pleasent aroma when it comes to a east coast Pale Ale. Bland basic flavor with a slightly bitter aftertaste brings the score down on this one. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 15, 2004 Bottled 6 months ago. Pours amber, very slight chill haze, light head. Smells candy and hops. Taste is dry with toffee, malt and hops in balance. Pretty darned tasty and balanced, not a blockbuster but a beer I could drink all day (starting at 8:30 AM of course, I never drink before breakfast). I’ll be back for more. rudolf (1758), Buffalo, New York, USA
