| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 9, 2009 Crystal clear, dark gold with an impressive frothy head. The lace slides down the glass, but is present
Mild malt aroma with a touch of hop flower. Appealing and subtle.
Nice hop bite on the initial sip. Hop bitterness stays throughout including the aftertaste, like an IPA. A very dry beer with little malt flavor
This beer is going very nicely with my plate of German Hot Dogs with mustard. I like its clean taste and as a hop head, I welcome the bitterness. Very drinkable, but not very complex. PapaSkeetSkeet (65), , Massachusetts, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 5, 2009 This is hoppier than most pale ales - it’s almost in IPA territory. But that’s just fine by me. Cascade hops dominate the flavor while subtle caramel malt notes linger in the background. Very drinkable and enjoyable. MrBeerFanatic (356), jamestown, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Pours golden amber with a light white head. The aromas here what I look for in a pale ale. Sweet and semi complex of hops and a little caramel. The flavor doesn’t quite live up to the aromas, but there is a good bitterness. Medium flavors of hops and a little piney. Needs more depth in the flavor. Not bad all around.
