Cryotek (206), Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA Mar 12, 2008 Dark amber, but still clear. very faint beer scent. Bitter-sweet hoppy taste and i guess scent. Light feel, easy to drink. Nothing special, don’t feel the need to try again. JustinFromAL (114), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Feb 21, 2008 BoTM. Dark amber in color. Almost no head. Very bright smell matches the flavor. Very fresh, a little to much last in the hops for my taste but a nice beer. thenick (742), North Bellmore, New York, USA Feb 13, 2008 Pours a deep golden amber with a medium but quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma is floral hop with malt and pine hop notes detectable as well. Taste is straight hop with a decent floral hop aftertaste. It’s not very complex, and the hop flavor is not nearly as strong as the flavor suggests. Solid, but nothing special. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA Feb 11, 2008 Pour from bottle received from my Beer of the Month Club into a pint glass. Body of the ale is a clear dark golden amber with a quickly diminishing white head. Very nice hops aroma, flowery and delicate, with strong notes of wood and pine. Strong bitterness, with medium to light mouthfeel. This is a dry pale ale without much sweetness. I am pleased with the moderate level of hoppiness in this brew and feel it is not overpowering. This is quite fitting with the style, and was not disappointed. dyetube (397), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 10, 2008 This beer pours a light amber with a thin white head. the aroma is grass and hops. Lot’s of great hops in the flavor as well. Although there are a little too astringent , I really liked this brew. Cheers! blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA Feb 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Sweet and fruity hop aroma. Medium body. Flavor is a decent balance of hops and sweet malt, with citrus fruit and caramel notes. Not bad. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Feb 6, 2008 Pours a frost-hazed, golden/amber with minimal carbonation under a low, creamy, non-lasting head. Pale malt aroma with low floral hopping and a grassiness that rings more of Saaz than Cascade. It’s through it’s flavor and body where this beer finally shines. Mid-bodied with a sharp, spicy lift. Rindy, peppery flavor with nice grapefruit edges. Long-lasting finish. Heavier PNW aroma-hopping and this would be golden.
