HopheadHans (753), Bay Area, California, USA Feb 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours with a golden color. Nice aromas of hops and citrus and grapefrut. Pretty intense flavors for an APA. Very aggressively hopped, but very clean. Not flowery but rather very grapefruit like bitter. A good food beer though. MrRain (415), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Feb 2, 2008 12oz bottle poured in a mug. OCPA pours dark bronze with a persistent small head. The nose is malt, malt and a touch or malt with some grapefruit hops. The body is brutal! It’s dry and hoppy and clinches your throat closed like a fistfull of sand. I give an extra point to the palate because of this. The flavor is basically what you’d expect from a hoppy APA. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 2, 2008 Pours a slightly fogged amber gold. Nose is a very faint orange pine. Flavor is slight hops and a mild bitter edge that has some sugar sweet on it too. Feel is a bit gentle on the bubble and smooth on liquid. Fairly drinkable. Though the bitter tone could be taken down a bit I think. Decent enough. yankeefan21 (82), USA Feb 1, 2008 Pours copper with a thin to nonexistant head. The taste is like watery hops. Too hoppy for me without enough depth of character. The finish is like I just ate a XMas tree. JCB (1713), Durham, North Carolina, USA Jan 29, 2008 Pretty damn solid pale ale, I have to say. Crisp amber brew with lively carbonation and a nice fruity flavor to it. A fine session beer. craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Jan 28, 2008 bottle from BOM club. a very good, easily drinkable APA. pours a deep golden with a tiny white head. slight hop aromas... nice big body with a big hop character that carries through on the finish. great session beer. keepersj12 (774), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Jan 28, 2008 Real nice pale ale. Maybe it’s just that I haven’t had a beer of this style in a while but I’m really enjoying this one. Nice amber color with a bready aroma. Flavor is what you’d expect, hoppy with some citrus. Very clean with no after taste. kevd193213 (477), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA Jan 27, 2008 Bottle. Copper pour with white fizzy head. Aroma of hops, citrus and some faint pine. Taste of hops with a nice finish. Good session pale.
