Commercial Description:
A refreshing, golden amber brew, with Cascade hops from the Yakima Valley. Adding Cascades during conditioning captures the rich aroma of the hop, and completes the clean, well-balanced flavor of our American pale ale. Crisp, refreshing and exotically aromatic.

Bottled. Amber coloured with very little head. Light grapefruit aroma. Clean crystal malt character. Good, juicy hop presence throughout well into the balanced finsih. Lingering bitterness, but not overly so. An enjoyable APA.

clear amber, thin beige head, nice lace, sticky sweet carmel malt aroma with lots of nice citrus for a bold complex aroma, nice bitter hop flavor, a touch of carmel tries to come in and balance it but still ends up very dry, does not live up to the aroma

Fresh hop aroma; hop-accented all the way. Not West-Coast, but more so than most East Coast pales. I liked it.

Not very hoppy at all, and the malt flavor is negligible as well -- not sure what they’re aiming for here, but this falls well short of my expectations. the only time you get the sense that there’s hoppiness is in the aftertaste. while i’m a big fan of a nice aftertaste, it doesn’t make up for what’s missing while it’s on your tongue.

This beer rocks. The commercial description is dead-on. If you like a crisp pale ale, you won’t find many better than this one.

Bottled 5/3/04: Pours a clear light copper with a airy white lacy head. Aroma has a nice cascade hoppy balance combined with a subtle amount of sweet caramel malt. Starts nicely sweet and well-balanced with a bitter hoppiness. Not much complexity, but very smooth and drinkable.

12oz bottle-pours a white head with gold color. Aroma is hops. Taste is crisp hops. Clean finish, no aftertaste. Light/medium body. Great APA. Dated 10/24/05

Pours copper with a white head. Smells resiny and spicy with some earthy undertones. Taste lives up to the nose with some earthy hints and peppery splashes on the finish.
