COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our 12th "stop" on the World Tour: "Sphinx" is an Egyptian-inspired multigrain ale brewed with Vermont honey and chamomile.
The Ancient Egyptians were the first to brew beer, and they also were the first to grow many of the grains we use today. We brewed this golden ale with spelt, millet, rye, oats, barley, and wheat; for a well-deserved tribute to the ancient inventors of beer.

Its body has a deep golden honey colored body with good clarity and some visible carbonation. The head starts off tall from the pour but falls down to a light cap off of white creamy foam. A quick swirl rejuvenates the head and keeps that nice foam cap on top till the last sip. Lacing is slick and quickly slides down the sides of the glass. The aroma has a full inviting nose with loads of sweet grains and honey mixing it up with herbal/floral notes. It has a very sweet overall character that reminds me of a multi grain cereal. There is a solid base with multiple grain notes and loads of honey and herbal/floral notes as well as chamomile and hops. It finishes like herbal chamomile tea with honey. It has a smooth creamy texture with soft carbonation and a medium body.

Slightly hazed yellow pour with creamy white head and lace. Maple syrup, nutmeg, and all spice. Light hints of clove and nutmeg. Thin and water.

Bomber RBWG 2010. Pours a very clear light crackery golden with a thin white head- no lace. Aroma is orange peel, soapy lemon zest, grainy and gritty, doughy yeasty and crackery with vegetal DMS and even hints of Diacetyle as well. Flavor is very grainy, grits, corn, veges, DMS, hint of honey sweetness, flowery, soap, and a bland sugary sweetness with some wet paper. Thin. Meh.

I had this beer about six months ago, but I have to throw in a review because I remember, while it was an interesting brew, it was downright hard to finish. Absolutely bitter in a non-hoppy way, lacking sweetness, pretty unpleasant.

1pt6oz in a lager glass. Pours clear, golden with a small white head. Aroma like a raisin oatmeal. Flavor is very sweet, can taste the chamomile and honey. Long, sweet finish that I can’t say I enjoy. A very unique beer, but I’m glad I live in today’s age where we have incredible beers from all over the world.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1pint 6oz bottle into an Otter Creek glass. That came as part of a three pack gift set. The bottle itself has no freshness date or abv% on the label but it has a nice description of the beer. Appearance: Its body has a deep golden honey colored body with good clarity and some visible carbonation. The head starts off tall from the pour but falls down to a light cap off of white creamy foam. A quick swirl rejuvenates the head and keeps that nice foam cap on top till the last sip. Lacing is slick and quickly slides down the sides of the glass. Smell: The aroma has a full inviting nose with loads of sweet grains and honey mixing it up with herbal/floral notes. Taste/Palate: It has a very sweet overall character that reminds me of a multi grain cereal like Kashi. There is a solid base with multiple grain notes and loads of honey and herbal/floral notes as well as chamomile and hops. It finishes like herbal chamomile tea with honey. It has a smooth creamy texture with soft carbonation and a medium body. Notes: Overall I thought this was a very interesting and enjoyable beer.

(22oz bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with a spare white head. Aroma of cinnamon rolls, dough, honey, and florals. Flavor of Cinnamon Toast Crunch with milk, ginger, caramel, grain, and honey. Odd.

Pours completely hazed orange. Aroma of apple pie, brown sugar, graham cracker, cherry tartness, cinnamon. Taste is sweet but not too much honey which is nice. Autumn-like spices are present. Medium light body, medium carbonation. Just enough tartness to balance well
