kmweaver (2396), Sebastopol, California, USA Apr 5, 2008 12oz bottle, courtesy of acrdz. Thanks, Mike! Pours a medium yellow color; thin white head that quickly disappears. Light cereal, sugar, and even a hint of butter in the aroma; some honey and water. Light mouthfeel: syrupy honey and sugar at the front of things; bland cereal and bread and not much else. Not a very good kolsch. Quick finish, showing cereal, toasty dry grains, and lingering sugar. mj (4971), Colorado, USA Apr 5, 2008 12oz bottle. Sour wheat and pasty old milk in the nose. A mix of crisp and frothy up front turning quickly to pasty, sour old milk and wheat germ. Really, really terrible, to be honest. I do not like drinking this. dlovell2 (136), Columbia, Maryland, USA Apr 3, 2008 Golden color with white head. Citrus aroma. Very crisp beer. Light Caramel malt taste followed by a light citrus hop taste. This beer was just ok. jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 3, 2008 Draft. Pale golden body with thin head. Aroma is light citrus, spring air. Flavor is light citrus hops, crisp with a light dry malty flavor. Refreshing. nuplastikk (1159), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Mar 26, 2008 12oz bottle. Clear yellow-gold color. Sweet, fresh aroma. This beer is a really nice, straight-forward, low alcohol beer...pretty much sentencing it to low ratings on Ratebeer. I think this is an injustice, as this beer is pretty good. Fruity, sweet finish. Crisp hop balance. I wouldn’t say it completely captures a true Koln Kolsch, but it is a really nice beer.. Peregrinari (53), Washington, Washington DC, USA Mar 25, 2008 Golden in color with a nice puffy head. Smell is malt and yeast with some sourness and hops. Flavor is somewhat malty with fairly strong hops and bread. Finish is pleasant with only a touch of drying and some lingering citrus. Overall, not a bad beer. I would drink it again. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Mar 23, 2008 (bottle - 12 oz) Clear golden pour with a fizzy white head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is very earthy. Reminds me of a farm. Some bitter hops and a very light malt touch. Lots of grass. Flavor is bitter and cloying at the start with a very sour metallic middle that disappears quickly and leaves a dry aftertaste. jimhilt (1663), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Mar 22, 2008 Pours a three-finger white head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Barnyard nose. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is mild, inoffensive, some malty sweetness, almost a clean finish. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Capital Convenience Concord, NH.
