3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From a 12 fl. oz. bottle marked 3208020312. The pour is medium amber with a delightfully full head. It is not dark enough for a Dunkler Bock though. I would put it closer to Helles. The aroma is of grains and malts with little sweetness. The body is pretty good and a little better than medium. The taste clearly emulates the German bock style with a full, creamy maltiness but an astringent bitterness on the end. Not too bad.

12oz bottle in a dimpled mug. Pours copper with a thick, cream-colored head. Aroma of caramel and bread like malts with a little bit of floral and bitter hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. Not a bad beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Enjoyable spring bock which is an easy drinker with a nice sweet malt kick to begin with and ends with a bit of a bitter yeasty backdrop which is either a flavor hop or some other spicey peppery attribute from the yeast. Not bad.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 1.27.12. Pours dark orange and clear with a small beige head that leaves some blebby lacing. Aromas of grass, iris and floral notes, and orange and spices. The flavor is grass and sweet fruity malt, berry, and raisin, with a lightly bitter finish. Alright.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange-brown, malty, bitter, hoppy. Good flavor with a bit of a light, bitter springy linger afterwards. Yes, I realize this is all nonsense.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft. Pours amber orange with an off white head. Malty grainy aroma, with some light sweetness. The flavor has this weird wet-dog thing going on, with some weird sweetness and light hops. Not that good.

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2012 From a bottle garnished from house. From looks, not a dunkel by any stretch; gold lager. Wew, first taste is quite strong and fer sure there’s no dunkler in this dunkler bock. Craemy off white head. Candy aroma. Some detectable co2 in there, just barely. Really comes across as bitter but more in a dull old hop and malt way. Finish is bitter medicine. Yes, quite alkified. Almost cloying at times.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap at Pony Bar. Pale amber colour. The nose has a little bit of light caramel behind some industrial malts. A touch of crackery malt and a fairly soft sweet base. There is a fairly light palate along with some light sort of fusel character. Meh - I don't think I'll ever really like this style.
