Bottle. Amber bodied with a short, foamy white head. Aroma is malty and sweet with lots of caramel, grains and bready notes. Taste is slightly hoppy with more toasted malt, caramel, light grassy notes and hints of dark bread. Body is medium with a moderate, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more caramel, sweet malt, toasted bread, fruit notes, grains and grassy notes.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours light amber with a slight, creamy beige head. Aroma is fruity hop over caramel. Med body +. Flavor is grassy! Fruity is very low key. There’s a nice roast malt backbone. For me this is more dry than not, and grassy is good. Nice.

Enjoyable spring bock which is an easy drinker with a nice sweet malt kick to begin with and ends with a bit of a bitter yeasty backdrop which is either a flavor hop or some other spicey peppery attribute from the yeast. Not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2013 12 oz bottle. One of the best aromas I have smelled from a beer in years. Pours a deep orange. Notes of fruit here. Grains and grassy notes present. Finish is of caramel, sweet malt, toasted bread,. True to the Bock category.

This is a very underrated beer. Bocks don’t get much love around here. Rich malt aroma along with baked bread and caramel. Palate follows suit it is sweet with a nice ester profile. I really like this.

12oz bottle in a dimpled mug. Pours copper with a thick, cream-colored head. Aroma of caramel and bread like malts with a little bit of floral and bitter hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. Not a bad beer.

Bottle. Copper color with foamy white head. Hop aroma mixed with bitter malts, a bit fruity and grassy in the nose. Palate was heavy in hops and some malts of a grainy and biscuit flavor. Clean bitter finish.
